Invasion: Israel's gift to Hezbollah
07.19.06 (12:52 am)   [edit]
The Afghan Arabs, including Al Qaeda, were an outgrowth of the Soviet Afghan war, Al Qaeda in Iraq, the Iraq war, Hezbollah is a byproduct of Israel’s 1982 invasion of Lebanon and finally Hamas is byproduct of first Palestinian uprising. Given this, it is bizarre that anyone would claim that recent Israeli actions will not strengthen Hezbollah’s base of support and will instead change the rules of the game as it where. Hezbollah biggest opponent is not Israel. Israel is its life blood. The source of its strength is its being one of the only organizations within the Arab world cable of standing up to Israel militarily. The biggest threats to Hezbollah are Lebanon’s economic development and continued democratization. In recent years Hezbollah was dealt a number of major blow on the later front. One of its chief patrons, Syria, was forced to leave by the people of Lebanon. Israeli most recent adventure promises to partly undue this. Among other things, it has again created a need for Syrian intelligence officers, who had fallen out of favor during a time of relative peace.

Remember who were the first terrorists after WW2, the Isralis, or as they were known then the Jews, Ben Gurion, and his crew were the original post war terroriststhey blew up the British troops and the hotels, ie King David hotel in Jerusalem many lives lost. How soon they forget, now they are treating the Arabs in the same ways the Germans did in WW2, blitzkreig, bomb and strafe kill and destroy. Where do we get off letting them have their own way out there bombing innocent civilians and children. We have not learnt a damn thing from the second world war, and the most any human being can expect out of life is 60/70 years of life. The people of LEbanon didnt deserve this.
Israel has lost me as an admirer through this, and I would think many thousands more. I was losing my patience with them anyways, this confirms my opinion.
Would be nice to see some of the Arab points of view on the TV stations instead of all the "poor" Israelis...the Holocaust happened , get over it Israel and get on with your daily life , dont make the rest of the world suffer for it.
